Less queueing at the main station

If you have a train to catch, you have no minute to spare. So there are two self-scan tills at the main station — and by now one customer in four uses them. You notice the result in one thing above all: the peak-time queue is much shorter.

To make it quick, we put the display case on the screen. You tap the roll you are holding instead of hunting for a barcode. Six different ones are rung up in under thirty seconds.

In the neighbourhood shops nothing changes. There, shopping is a conversation, and it should stay one.

Technology belongs where it gives you time. Not where it replaces a conversation.
