Alaaf! Mutzenmandeln from today

It smells of carnival again. From today our Mutzenmandeln are in the display case — made to the recipe of Margret's mother, on an index card that is laminated now, because otherwise it would fall apart.

In six shops we fry them fresh all day. Loose by weight, a hundred grams, into the bag and on to the parade. They are best warm.

For the Rose Monday parade: order ahead. The old town is bought empty by midday, and it is the same every year.
